Althaea officinalis  
Roots were origionally used to make marshmallow confections.  Medicinally, the roots are mucilagenic and can sooth dry respiratory issues.  Tall perennial for the back of the garden.  Pink flowers along the stems.  Prefers full sun.  Perennial Growing Zones 3-9.  Grown in a large 4" deep pot.
