Utica dioica   Tall perennial growing up to 5 feet. Prefers rich wet soil. Will spread by roots that creep long distances. The leaves are used in teas or as a spring edible replacing spinach. Seeds and roots are also used medicinally. DO NOT EAT RAW. Steep in hot water or cook to tame the sting.
